  • Bradley Branding

I hear that Bradley is launching a "Bradley Branding" program involving logo changes and changes in the way the Athletic Department presents each sport.
Apparently there is some significant dissatisfaction among people in the Athletic Department and in the community regarding this.
Does anyone know the details of what is happening and what this program is? Thanks.

Bradley alumni are invited to attend the closed session on Saturday for the Bradley Athletic Branding Focus Group.
Some alumni have already have received a personal invitation. Registration is required.-

I've seen the new "mark", and I think it's solid. I'm sure some won't love it, as beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

I took part in a focus group early last week. Bound by confidentiality regarding the specifics, but I think they are heading in the right direction.

I've seen it, too. It's like lipstick on a pig. We have people who have taken over the athletic department who seem far more interested in putting on a charade and pretending all is well, rather than building winning and successful programs. Their dilemma is that Bradley fans are way too smart to fall for the charade.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

Yep. I signed the same agreement. I think more will like it than not.

Phase II and Phase III is where things will get exciting.

Performance on the playing field doesn't change the need for a re-freshed logo and brand. This can be done at the same time improvements are being made within the individual programs.

I think it is a good thing to update the Bradley brand. I don't know why it has taken so long to make changes. We have a bland logo with the emphasis on not offending anyone, we have no mascot, and we've done a poor job of promoting the products. But I do agree that this could be the worst possible time to do this, having bottomed out in the worst period in the history of Bradley athletics.

PT - I am not a grammar teacher - but you use the active past tense "took part" in regards to an event that you state is "early next week"...
so did you use your Delorean to get there and PM me with what they talked about..

I like it. Definitely better than the terrible old BU with script Braves across it.

Wow...that is why I shouldn't post on BF on a Monday morning.

                        Revised:
                        "Last week, I TOOK part..."

For anyone that went (if you're allowed), could you give us an idea of when all of this will go public?
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

                              Phase I: New logo.

                              Phase II: ?????

                              Phase III: Profit!
