He's the guy who will remind people a little bit of Willie Scott.

Yes it is. He has been working out with the team pretty regularly.

Did anyone else have problems with the sound on the video? I can hear the sound for the commercial, but once Jim comes on I have no sound. Any ideas on how to fix this? I would love to be able to listen to what Geno says.

I don't know. I have viewed the video on a couple different computers, and I didn't notice any problem with the sound.

With headphones, I noticed audio in only one ear, then after a while it switched to the other.

Sorry guys I'm just not pumped up from watching the vid. I'm glad to see we will have some pretty good players next year but I'm still not convince that even with these fine players that we will have the talent to compete with, even the elite of our conference. I'm still waiting for a few more recruits before I start jumping on the bandwagon. There's no reason we can't land two studs at BU. It is a great place to play and they should be able to get plenty of playing time. I do feel that we are set at the guard position but we need a few shooters and an athletic big!

Yeah, my sentiments too, though I get pumped up just because we're talking Bradley basketball, and I get more excited about BU hoops than any other sports team (though Bears are up there too).

This is an important season for us to get as close to .500 as possible and be competitive so that recruits will be drawn to play for a team that could be a winner in a couple seasons. Maybe I'm not as knowledgeable as some of you on this board about recruiting dynamics, but an 8-25 season (or whatever we had) may draw good recruits if they want immediate P.T., but they are more likely looking for a winner, and we're not even close to there yet.

After reading your post I realized that I was getting excited about a point guard making a nice pass and a shooting guard making a jump shot.

I am glad the new guys are gym rats who work on their own. Not happy at all that the culture has been that guys don't.

here's an article that mentions Omari Grier and talks a little about why so many players were dissatisfied and left & transferred from FAU...
                      "dissention among the players" and
"too many personal issues on the team that we haven’t been able to deal with and put aside and play basketball" and
the "team did not have the proper priorities in place last year"...and
"Our mindsets gotta be … we’re gonna win the game. And I’m not worried about how many points I’m gonna get.
I’m not worried about how many minutes I’m playing. I’m not worrying about how many shots I get.
I’m not worrying about how pretty I look. I wanna win the game........We had too many guys thinking about themselves.
                      Very selfish team this year."

It appears Dennis Mavin is leaving FAU but staying in South Florida. Mavin, a 6-foot-3 sophomore guard, may be transferring to FIU, according to his Twitter page. “Every end is a new beginning!!” he tweeted along with a picture of FIU’s logo. Mavin’s Twitter bio now lists FIU as his school. If

To me this is just another negative reflection on Isaiah Thomas as a coach. It sounds as if he didn't just lose his team, but that he never had control of them in the first place.

Their loss is Bradley's gain... Glad to have Omari as a Brave!

Isiah Thompson [sic] was the coach of FIU (where Milt Doyle was originally committed), not FAU (where Grier transferred from). The article was confusing.

Grier's coach at FAU was former St. John coach, Mike Jarvis.

You're right Old Coach. I get these d@mn "initial" schools mixed up sometime. I think it was the mention of Thomas and FIU in the article that threw me.

I'm surprised that things got that out of control under a coach like Jarvis.

Mike Jarvis is a good coach, but he has a history of his players getting in his doghouse and not playing much or leaving his programs early. For whatever reason, Omari Grier fell out of favor with Jarvis and played very little for FAU after a December 28 loss at home to Siena.
Omari Grier's game log from last season-

Grier was averaging 11.1 ppg at that time, but after the benching, he scored only 14 points over their final 14 games, which dropped his season average to 6.3 ppg. Omari was one of several FAU players who saw their playing time drop off as the season progressed.

Jarvis suggested it was because his players were too selfish (see the bottom link). Maybe it was because it's hard to satisfy Jarvis? For whatever reason, Omari was one of 4 of FAU's key players last season to leave FAU with eligibility remaining.

Jarvis has almost completely reloaded with 6 new freshman recruits and two transfers. It will be interesting to see how many of them stick around for the long haul.-
FAU men’s basketball failed to repeat as conference champs because they didn’t care enough. That’s head coach Mike Jarvis’s theory, anyway. “We had too many guys thinking about themselves,” he said. “Very selfish team this year. So next year hopefully we’ll have a very unselfish team.” Six fre
