Although I believe there is a typo in that story.. should be 15 pts/game I think.

He is a Class of 2012 - so he will be immediately eligible and available this fall
and I am sure you are right - he did not average 50 ppg..
but the fact that is rated #38 in the state and got very little interest and had remained undecided/uncommitted 'til now hint that he may need a RS year...

Not sure we have that luxury, at least not with a big.

How can this be possible? I thought a coach had to start a winning tradition before they can get anyone to commit there?

I am not saying this is a bad recruit. It is late and you could hit on a Taylor Brown. But if this level of recruit would make you happy I am sure we would have no problem giving scholarships out. I personally hope we are working on some players that can raise the level of our program.

Exactly! I want the right recruits LC, not just someone that Geno gives a scholarship to in desperation to appease a few worried fans. I trust that Geno will fill our 4 slots with quality recruits... just like he was able to do while at KSU. Many forget that Geno has already brought in 4 potential high quality recruits this year in Bell, Pickett, Fields, and Grier (I know, I know. Fields and Grier are for next year). I'm hopeful that Geno's experience in coaching and recruiting will pay off for BU sooner rather than later... Just like it did while he was at KSU.

i'm in the school of the last two posts. I do not want lunch meat. I want Filet Mignon, Kansas Bone In, Porterhouse Steak! I'd rather starve another year and save the scholies for real potential and not on a wing and a prayer. PATIENCE is what we need. I'm giving up this year and next year we better be at .500 and at year 5 we should be at the top of the Valley or otherwise my patience will be shot! PATIENCE!

----Yea T people were not patient with JL but that is the past and two wrongs do not make a right. Let's all just move on and support the team as best as we can. Go Braves!

Bingo! If Bradley wanted a 6' 8" forward who averaged 15 ppg, they could have had one, but Geno passed.

This guy had an eligibility problem. He had to take some summer classes to qualify because he came late from Nigeria. SIU was his top remaining offer.

Again, I am not sure what SIU having an open scholarship for a late qualifier has to do with Bradley recruiting. If we had an open scholarship this late, some people would want Geno's head on a stick for not being able to recruit.
