    I know but I never trusted William Devane either...I really doubt financial advisors are suggesting this...

      If there is a total collapse of the dollar we will have much bigger things to worry about. Also gold will be worthless as well. I doubt if all hell breaks out that anyone will be selling things that will maintain them and their family for gold. in other words, I'm not trading a my food source (a cow) for any amount of gold.

        We aren't. There are plenty of income options that make you much more money than the banks, at little or no risk.
