I would imagine that this quote probably has more to do with it then a newpaper article...

???I was real high on Bradley,??? he said. ???But they brought in transfer guards
(Anthony Fields and Omari Grier). So I wasn??™t sure if I was wanted there or
not. I haven??™t heard from them in a while.???
If BU was still interested, he would still be hearing from them... seems fairly cut and dry to me...

Agreed. There are about 6 or 7 women who I tried to date over the years who would concur with this way of going about not showing interest in someone anymore

Me too Nacho! And I'm quite sure that the VAST majority of people see it the same way.

Maybe if Riley had verballed to BU earlier we wouldn't have gone after Fields?...You wouldn't want BU to say they are all excited about a recruit but internally have backed off and send mixed messages to a recruit.
Nice observation and you also don"t keep recruiting a player that more then likely cannot get admitted , that is what Jim Les did after the Sweet 16 season and it backfired as both his marquee guard recruits did not have the grades to get into BU.

surely we'd be more appealing than San Francisco...

not sure if this was noted elsewhere - but the kid in that article is Wyatt Lohaus, son of ex-Iowa star and ex-NBA'er Brad Lohaus...
..who doesn't have his dad's height - and is "only" 6-1 but is an exceptional shooting guard who hits about 50% from beyond the arc...

but ...he has verbaled to Northern Iowa giving them SIX verbals for 2013 & 2014 (2013-Morgan, Koch, Carlson, Friedman, Knar, 2014-Lohaus)
