Suspect BU will have to show some 2012 W-L progress before better players want to play for the Braves.

My goodness... There is still time out there to land a quality recruit... Still hoping for good news...Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Indian Hills also has one other juco All American transferring in...
Ron Ross from Vincennes and plenty of other quality players...they'd have been really good if they get Ward.
They also had DePaul's Macari Brooks signed but he's changed his mind and is now going to Blinn.

Can one of you Peorians tell me what the deal is with AJ Riley? He was getting all kinds of national love on the recruiting scene a few months ago, but seems to have completely dropped off the map. Usually when that happens, there is an injury or it doesn't appear as though a kid will be able to get qualified academically. Is that the case here?

no official word the rest is pure rumor or speculation
BTW - two different events the next two weeks -
a giant juco showcase this coming weekend and then the next weekend, a top AAU event - both in Merrillville, IN
...and an AAU event 7/18-22 near Chicago

@DaveReynolds2:
"Bradley just offered scholarship to 2013 combo guard David Cohn of Elmhurst York HS."
Apparently BU just offered this kid.
If there are any fellow New York Yankee fans out there, This also happens to be the anniversary of pitcher David Cone's perfect game in 1999.
So Bradley offers a kid with almost the exact same name (just spelled slightly differently) as a New York Yankees pitcher on the anniversary of said pitchers perfect game. Also, the kid goes to YORK High School.
All that has absolutely no significance to anything. But it is weird, right?
Don't read my posts.

I like reading about these uncanny stories, so keep 'em comin'!
I was also thinking the same thing while reading the posts about Cohn, but didn't know about the perfect game by DC (the Met).
Good catch BB!

Geno's a coach most kids would love to play for, but not many good talents want to play for a 10th place team in a mid-major conference.

I get what he's saying though DC. BU has not fielded a winning team for a while now... And it appears we'll probably have to be patient for at least another year.
Sorry to let you down DC and B4L
When I want to blame or rip, I usually tend toward satire...
Just think it's awfully difficult for a second year coach to get top mid major talent in until there is some spark/turnaround in the team's W-L record. Particularly at a school who typically won't pull punches on academics/bad behavior for inbound recruits.
Having said that, BU has had success in the past with recruiting JC players who have a good 2nd year and are under the radar, same with HS Seniors who have break out years, or, who are coming off injuries and have been left behind by Majors/Mid Majors.
It's a long time to 2013 season and >.500 in the Valley in 2012/2013 would help BU in 2003/2004 recruiting...BUilding for the Future

Dave Reynolds is now reporting BU has offered Harold Givens
Givens is a 6-7 SF who Rivals states already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Marquette, Miami (FL), and Virginia...
that's nine BCS offers - so I like that we're being bold and offering but we'll see...
ESPN also lists offers from Tennessee & USC
