  • Northwestern highly recruited guard commits to them

I'm not a fan of their style but they do seem to recruit players that are good for their school and system.

When will we be seeing news on our upcoming recruits?

I read about this kid and I am a bit puzzled...but then kids change their minds all the time..so why with 20 or so different high major offers does he want to come halfway across the continent to play where they've never been to the NCAA??

    ...
the kid has played at different high schools, for different AAU teams, and now plays for his dad, and has verballed, then UN-verballed, then re-verballed again...all the common moves for certain types of kids who appear to be taking advice from various sources...

he's got other offers - lots, supposedly - even Big East, ACC, etc... - and was already committed to an SEC school then backs out and lands at Northwestern..
he's rated in the Top 100 (#75 by ESPN) but Rivals now has him at #106 - lower than the kid Creighton got a couple years ago - Andrew Bock - who turned out to be a flop.
...but we all know how all the kids on the east coast and from bigger cities & big city (Philly) AAU programs - get boosts in their ratings..

it says his averages are 8 ppg, 2 asst per game, and 2 rebs - pretty surprisingly low for a kid in the "Top 100" - esp. if the kid is a PG as some sites say and he gets just 2 apg.

also the reports on him vary widely from saying he is a true PG to saying he is not and is a better shooter..

    or this...
one article saying he is 6-0

while another article from a couple months earlier says he's 6-3
Stay up to date with all the Memphis Tigers sports news, recruiting, transfers, and more at 247Sports.com

but time will tell...........he is the highest rated recruit Northwestern has supposedly landed..but here's the irony...

at the time the kid chooses Northwestern - Rivals has him ranked at #90 - thus FOUR-STARS - LINK

Then instantly after he says he's going to Northwestern - then Rivals posts a BRAND new ranking that drops him to #106 - so NOW he's THREE-STARS

so - not saying it's cause-and-effect - but this is where the instant he verbals - his ranking drops!

Likewise - scout.com just dropped him from #56 (4-Stars) to #82 (3-Stars) with their brand new ranking that came out just after he verballed.
