  • Another Bradley coach leaving

Kari Kerkhoff, who had been an assistant coach under Paula Buscher for the past 6 years, has resigned and will become an assistant coach at SIU-E. She has served as the BU women's recruiting coordinator for the last 4 seasons.

    Good luck to Keri...

of the women's coaches who have left in the past year or so, all have done very well!!

Paula, of course, now has a long deal to bring SIUE into national prominence...

Then Jeni Garber - who took over as head coach at Quincy University had a phenomenal season...
    - in her first year at Quincy - Jeni Garber did a great job and was 22-8, with a team that had lost three....and made it the to 2nd round of the NCAA DII National Tournament.

Likewise NcKell Copeland who went to be an assistant at Michigan State - they also had a fine year - 20 wins, 11-5 in the Big Ten and a trip to the post-season.

BTW - I talked yesterday with Bobby Garber - Jeni's dad who played basketball for Bradley back in the late 40's with Paul Unruh, Billy Mann, and Squeaky....he's still amazingly healthy at 85 and always likes to talk Bradley basketball...he had a lot of interesting things to say about how things are going - especially his daughter's experiences....
