  • College basketball uniforms

Uniforms have gotten trendier and high tech. Here is a leaked version of renderings of a new design for Maryland's basketball uniform. Note all the different designs on the shoulders and sides that all apparently have some significance, as well as the 2 different colors for the socks.-

more and more the teams have to appeal to the "it's all about me" philosophy most of the talented players have...

anyway - on every team most of the players are wearing differing shoes...

The pattern on the shoulders on the Maryland jersey are a reference to the state flag of Maryland. I think it looks ugly but it is kind of a cool reference.

I say this every time a basketball uniforms thread is posted:

BRADLEY NEEDS TO MAKE AND SELL AUTHENTIC JERSEYS!!!!

Yes. The Maryland football uniforms have already adopted some of the same design on their jerseys and helmets-

        and on the football shoes-

Really can't get much uglier than this. I'm usually into new styles, but this style is just plain gaudy.

IMO this is more about the apparel companies then the schools themselves. Under Armors CEO has Maryland connections (Grad? Booster? Not sure which) and is trying to "brand" Maryland just as Phil Knight and Nike are doing with Oregon. And it's working, because people are talking about it.

At least they don't wear helmets in Basketball. The double sided thing was freaking me out when they played ND.
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!
