  • Q/A with Geno a possibility?

What are the chances we can get Coach Ford to do a Q/A session (1/2 hr. to 1 hr.) with us fans here at Bradleyfans.com sometime in mid-late July?
Things will still be relatively slow I imagine, and Geno might have some time to see the newcomers in action to give us some insight, as well as individual improvement of returning players.

That was great that Coach Les did that a couple seasons back, and it seemed that he WANTED to give us insight and be challenged with tough questions.

Anyone have connections to try to make this happen?

We were promised a chat with Coach Ford a year ago, but then the BradleyBraves.com website added their own imbedded Chat software and did such a chat with Coach Ford on their site, so ours never materialized.
We'll try to see if we can get another chat set up.

When does Coach Ford get access with the players? He hasn't started that yet, right?

Does anyone know if the newcomers (TP, KB, AF, OG) are on campus yet for summer school?

I think it starts once the players are enrolled and on campus. The NCAA now allows coaches to meet with individual players on a limited basis (2 hours a week) for individualized instruction and workouts during the off-season.

NCAA rules allow the following contact with basketball players during the off-season-
-Student-athletes may be required to participate in up to 8 hours per week of required strength and conditioning activities and individualized skill instruction.
-No more than 2 hours of the permissible 8 can consist of individualized skill instruction. No more than four student-athletes may be involved in skill instruction at all sites combined at any one time.
-Student-athletes must be given two days off from required activities per week.

If we can't get GF for a BU Q/A, next best thing would be JL joining us for a Q/A re UC-Davis MBB outlook..

Ha, Ha! If we did that, we would probably lose a few dozen more marginal fans who would stroke out. Bradley is losing too many fans already!

I think getting Geno to do a chat would be great. However, late July may be slow for us, but not for Geno and the staff. They will be out recruiting the final three weeks of July and it is the busiest time of the off-season. August may be more realistic for getting him.

Thanks for the input Bf20. I wouldn't mind that either in August if that is indeed better for the staff, and Geno especially.
