The best players know they will be picked early and of course all the teams with early draft picks are bottom dwellers and bad teams...
so....why not use a little ingenuity....and here it comes......
in preparation for the draft, have a couple doctors find some issue - preferably a PHANTOM issue ..then start some rumors that you might have a Greg-Oden-like career -- then go behind the scenes and reassure the better teams that you're just fine and that you expect to still be available in the draft to go to a winning team.
Sure - you may get a slightly lesser million-dollar-contract if you fall a few places in the draft - but hey, playing in Boston or some other top NBA city can more than make up for it!!
Jared Sullinger would like to fall far enough to land on a good team...hopefully the Celtics
