Here is my final and overall view of this fine tournament, and I sent an e mail to tournament organizer, Shawn Powell thanking him for bring this event to Peoria.
The Tournament of Champions was first class all the way.
I really enjoyed the games and the venues.
This is the best tourney I have ever seen, it combined players from their own HS teams (not AAU matchups) and they played at midseason form and played to win, not just for exhibtion.
What a great tourney, and I loved every minute of the games I could see.
A tremendous number of top players and teams were there, and totally professionally run.
If you have event a bit of desire to see top notch high school basketball, this kind of event is for you and I hope we see it again next year.
The highlight for me was Matt Roth draining 3's on the Civic Center floor, from about 5 feet inside the center tip circle!
