More unusual conference realignment

Another odd conference realignment- Boston University is leaving the America East Conference and joining the Patriot League.
BC will become the 9th member of the Patriot League, along with American, Army, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh and Navy.

The Patriot League has been the slightly better conference the last 2 seasons, but over the longer term, the two conferences have been pretty comparable, with the America East more often the higher rated conference.

Patriot's one of the few leagues where academics are a major factor. Other than that, I really don't know why they're making this move either.

The conspiracy theorist in me says that they're getting out because they know the CAA is about to poach Stony Brook, and maybe even Maine and New Hampshire for all sports.
