This was recorded today. Kind of interesting and fun to listen to during the slow offseason. Geno is first and goes until the 11 minute mark.

    Thanks BeBrave!

I like what Geno claims he and the staff are focusing on in summer workouts.
An element of toughness and shooting fundamentals to be competitive with Valley teams.

He has a good reality of where the team stands heading into next year when talking about scheduling. He wants to play some solid opponents and have a decent SOS to help the league, but wants to get early wins to help instill a winning mindset into the guys, as we are not close to being and At-Large team needing to worry about RPI.

    Just some thoughts:
Certainly Braves fans will not tolerate any more seasons like last, and substantial improvements year by year are expected.

Hopefully our guys will take losing hard and have that "hate to lose" mentality. I know that DSE & WL have it, and I'm sure others on the squad do as well.

And I would think Geno will be less tolerant of any 30+ point losses for the upcoming season...regardless of the opponent.
If you play as tough or tougher than the other team, no way should you lose by 30 points, even if you have a rough shooting night.

Exactly. Bradley has consistently been the softest team in the Valley for a few years now (since Matt Salley). And that most certainly needs to change.

It is good to try and make your guys tougher by doing some "competitive things" like Geno said. But some of what you have to do is recruit tough-minded guys in the first place. Which I hope that we are doing.

No doubt we need our guys to play much tougher, I think we have a few players that will fight for every possession but we need everyone to be willing to do this, no doubt we need to shoot the ball much better and that can happen if our team chemistry is better, players need to be willing to all be on the same page as I felt like last 2 seasons we had guys trying to play more like individuals and not like a team, hoping that the 2 players that are now gone were the main reasons why we never clicked as a team.

Man, you guys don't miss a beat, do you? If you use this link, the audio is broken down by coach and you can listen to the in-season teleconferences if you so choose.
