I'm curious to know what our rotation will be at the 4-5 position. I bet the coaches are hoping that Nate can really step it up because that will give them a bit of flexibility playing JP more at the 4. If not JP will play the 5 exclusively. If WE starts that means he is at 100%. After a year of not playing I'd have to believe they will be watching his minutes the first part of the season.

Prosser cannot play the 4, he is a back to the basket kind of player and does not shoot the ball well enough from the outside plus he could not guard a 4 on the perimeter, his lack of height says he is a 4 but he is not.
The past couple seasons we've done this Pick-em, it seems to have been relatively easy to guess the starting 5, but even then, hardly anybody guesses the right combo. (mostly due to key injuries).
It's nice to have a plethera of workable combinations.
Right now, I'd say that 2 guys are easy picks to start, but after that, there might be 7-8 others who have a fighting chance to start (though I can't see the practices, but just based on past performances, Geno's philosophies, and rumors of who is doing well so far)
Here are others who I think have a legit shot of starting from Game 1 other than DSE & WL:
JC
SS
KB
JE
TP
JP
WE
I would think Milos and Nate are the primed to come off the bench and see limited P.T. I hope NW gets 8-10 mpg - that would mean that our other bigs are getting the job done.
The first exhibition game will be at the Renaissance Coliseum on Monday, October 29 vs. Upper Iowa...only a little over 3 weeks away!
this contest is still open and so keep picking......THE PRIZE WILL BE A FREE GIFT CERTIFICATE (NOT A COUPON) TO AN AREA RESTAURANT
Because of the tiebreakers - even if someone else already has picked the
same starting lineup you like, then you can still win if you hit the tiebreakers!
Here are the lineups that have been picked thus far
and how times they have been picked (in parentheses):
Who are you playing at the 3 guard wily? I love the size, but there isn't much shooting in that offense.
I'm not playing 3 guards. I'm going 3 bigs but after watching tonights scrimmage I'd start JP instead of SS. Guess its like making a first impression though. You only get one chance. Really liked Pickett. Can't wait till we can get some people around him. Think we'll be better this year but still have a ways to go. Geno WILL get it done. I'm a firm believer but its gonna take some time.
