well...Dave Reynolds is now on to this story -- and tweeting that the whole story is quite odd....

    "This is curious"
"Why would 12-year BU head women's coach Paula Buscher seek a job at a fledgling D-I school?"

my uneducated guess, tho -- this'll be the last we hear of it....don't wanna rock the boat

          Here is another curious question-
Why would a newspaper reporter, with all the connections, manpower, money, and resources behind the PJ Star, not dig around and find out the answer instead of simply asking the question? I thought that was what newspapers and reporters were supposed to do. Anyone can ask rhetorical questions.

Also, why do the Alton, Illinois, and Belleville, Illinois newspapers have this story and the PJS doesn't?

Very good question. And, I am embarrassed to ask this, but is Dave the beat writer for the women too? If so, he should be finding out the answers to this. If not, who is responsible for the women's coverage for the PJS?

Just to clear things up, Marcus Pollard did indeed participate in the Braves Club golf outing yesterday at Weaver Ridge. He played in the morning group with Coach Ford's foursome. The only reson I bring this up is that there was some misinformation posted previously that Marcus had no interaction with Bradley while he was in town.

I am not seeing it on the Bradley site.

Nothing official announced yet by SIU-E-

But there are rumors that it could be announced today.

This article was posted a few minutes ago about the SIU-E players awaiting their next coach-

I have heard from a reliable source that Paula has accepted the SIU-E job.

The players are hoping the next head coach will come from the current staff. But judging from past history, that may be unlikely.

That would seem to be a bad idea.

I think this is where the new facilities could make a big difference. I think a coach would be very impressed the facilities.

This weekend I had the chance to talk with a former assistant of Paula's who told me she is one of the lowest paid MVC coaches. I don't know if that's true, if so, even with newer facilities, that would certainly make it hard to lure a good coach.
