Yet another Basketball BRAWL in the news...

There have been some pretty impressive brawls recently involving the Chinese teams...
one was just last fall when Georgetown's team was there on an exhibition tour and there was an all-out, chair-throwing brawl...
then there was another just a couple weeks later involving an Aussie team...

BUT it happened again this past weekend - and there's a little intrigue as to just who this team is...

...a team that is being billed as one of the NBA D-League teams was doing an exhibition tour in China...
and this brawl was quite similar to the one last fall with chairs being used as weapons...

There are many different sites carrying this story - all of them saying ......
....that the "New Orleans Hurricanes" are a NBA D-League team....
However - apparently they just don't bother to do their homework...
since..there is no New Orleans team in the NBA D-League...s

However - now a few reports, like Deadspin are carrying updates saying...
"The NBA D-League denies any relationship to the "New Orleans Hurricanes"
and does not know if any of the players involved are current or former members
of the D-League. Furthermore, the players involved do not represent the D-League
or any D-League team."

here's another all-out, chair throwing, punches-flying BRAWL that happened this week...

The teams are both small schools from South Carolina...
Voorhees - an NAIA school
and Benedict - a brand new DII just transitioning...

the game was a preseason exhibition that doesn't even count in the standings, but the players go wild...
punches thrown, players charging into the crowd, fans throwing chairs & full cups of beer, it gets pretty wild...
One player throws a folding chair the entire length of the court!!!

What an absolutely disgusting and embarrassing display. At the very least every player seen throwing chairs should be kicked off or suspended from the team for the season, or for life. IMO, each school should forfeit their season and not allow their teams to play another game. Want to set an example? That's how you do it! Every player and coach on both teams are to blame for this incident, as our the fans in the stands.
