The report details a decline over the past few years in Black and other minorities in D-I...
this comes on the heels of the MVC again hiring multiple new coaches and all were white...even a white candidate replacing the only Black guy in the Valley.
I think it's just a matter of time until someone points out that the Valley does not have much diversity...not a whole lot of color among the head coaches in the MVC.
Currently the Valley has NO Black head coaches and only 2 of the past 20 (the most recent two HC's at each Valley school) were Black (Lowery, Cuonzo)..and most Valley teams have never had a Black HC.
Since 2000 - 30 men have been hired or served as head coach at an MVC school (actually 29, since one guy, Barry is on the list twice) - and only TWO are non-white (CLo & Cuonzo) - that's a pretty bad record - and I kinda expect someone to give us an article about it...
