    Wow..get over it

As for JUCO??™s, get ready to understand that for the two years you have them, it takes one year to adjust to the DI game. So, even if the kid is great, or is great for half of one season, he??™s with you for a productive year. Meanwhile, the prep kid from the neighboring community you passed on so the two year guy gets a chair lights it up at another program, including great March performances.

Recruiting is both art and science, and easy to get wrong. In my opinion, your head coach is more interesting in a quick fix of a two year player (maybe great for one year) than developing talent for a longer term solution. Just strikes me as a strategy of winning for a season or two before contract is up, but I could be wrong. At any rate, we watched some games where the long term solutions we passed over for a two year special just lit us up.

Just the view from the stands.
You sound like you really have a vendetta vs Coach Ford. Did he do something to you personally? You didn't like the way he recruiting at Kent State, taking JC guys. He won 68 games in 3 years recruiting JCs and transfers and four year guys. Appreciate everything he did for Kent, cheer for your team, and let him coach our team now. He may not win here, and you will cheer for that because you don't like him for some reason. But, just let it go...

there is no way to be sure of this - he could be on twitter but not as "Geno Ford" and he could send messages privately that could be found.

Plus - I don't interpret KSUFan as hostile or bitter - he's just stating things as he knows them

Claiming Coach Ford Tweeted that he was leaving and that the Kent administration didn't know he was was going to be taking the job is just plain inaccurate. You can be mad at him for leaving, but don't change the facts of what happened. I know he wished he would have had an opportunity to address his Kent team, but the way you describe it is wrong.

Oh, please. Who else had the opportunity? I admire Bradley fans. You are smarter than this.

MAC Championship Winners during Geno Ford??™s tenure:
        2009 - Akron
        2010 - Ohio
2011- Akron - only title game KSU was in

It works out much better for both of us if Coach Ford succeeds at Bradley. Do you think its fun to be embarrassed by a coach dumping a team to win seven games at his new program?

Maybe Coach Ford will be wildly successful at Bradley. It has all the things many coaches say they need to win: a large and rabid fan base, major sport in the program, awesome arena, good private school, apparently lots of money to spend and located in the middle of a preps talent gold mine. If Coach Ford is a great coach, he should have you turned around in no time. What could he possible need that he doesn??™t have? If you believe he was a great coach in the MAC with no resources, he ought to blow the doors off at Bradley. And soon.

This is it for me. Good luck next year.

Perhaps a minor point, but the linked article does not state that the twitter feed that the KSU player sited was from Geno. --granted it seems that at least some of the players heard about the news from twitter as opposed to being told directly before the news was released--

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Again, no link to a tweet from Coach Ford because he doesn't tweet. What you are referring to is the fact of what I already stated. Bradley released it while he was being introduced to the team. When he came out of that meeting with his new Bradley players, the news was already out on the website. He had hoped to get a chance to tell his Kent team, but that was not then possible. There were probably players who found out on Twitter, after others read the Bradley release online and then started tweeting about it. But to say Coach Ford told them via twitter is just simply not true.

Also, you are talking about MAC tournament vs regular season.... Claiming he didn't win a championship is again false. He won a REGULAR SEASON championship. You do sound bitter about him leaving when you leave out that fact...that he won 2 in 3 years.

It is fine. I am sure Coach Senderoff will be great. Again, leave Coach Ford be and move on. It is done and happened over a year ago.

A lot of high profile people have twitter and Facebook accounts under assumed names to maintain their privacy. So taking that into consideration, this is a possibility.

And per the article you mentioned..

After several conversations in the past few days, Ford made an indication to Nielsen on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. that he would be leaving the Flashes after serving as head coach for three years.

Nielsen was ???alerted to the Bradley University website??? at 9:30 p.m. to see Ford accepted a head coach position there.

???I would have hoped for better communication because there was excellent communication (earlier),??? Nielsen said. ???I would??™ve liked to sit down and hear his thoughts and ideas.???

Right there. Ford told Nielsen on Sunday at 5:30pm that he was leaving the Flashes. What Nielsen wanted was a chance to counteroffer when Ford got back to Kent. That didn't happen. At 9:30pm, it was released to the masses and Nielsen read it online...HOWEVER, Ford had already told him this 4 hours previous. So, again..don't say he never told his next door neighbor boss AD that he was leaving... Not Accurate...

Oh COME ON guys! Do you REALLY believe this? READ THE ARTICLE! I know you did Beni so don't go contradicting your previous post. Don't you think if he contacted his players via twitter with an "assumed name" account that they would not have "outed" Geno? You know, you guys really don't need to take KSU's side to make him feel welcome. He came here for a reason... Hit and run! I'm still AMAZED at the lack of BradleyFans that responded and stood up for their coach and team... Shameful! smh

Please- there are nearly 2000 unique visitors to this site every day, and over 15,000 unique visitors monthly. I would say by the fact that approximately 0.9999% of all the fans that visit here have ignored these claims is pretty darn good proof that Bradley fans are all strongly on Geno's side. So stop trying to stir up imaginary issues.

BTW, it appears from this vitriol spewed by the university president, that there was clearly friction between Geno and the administration there at Kent State. No surprise he wanted to get out of there.

I wonder how he knows this, because again....Geno has recruited seven players to Bradley and ONE has been a "two year player".
