Here's a new recruit for the All Name Team...
this kid burst onto the scene with a tremendous weekend at the Peach Jam...
LOURAWLS NAIRN - being recruited by DePaul, Indiana, Wichita State, etc..
I would be curious how the kid got the first name "Lourawls" - the kid is Class of 2014, so he was born in 1996 - a time when the great vocalist Lou Rawls was done with his performing and recording career but was still regularly hosting benefits & telethons for the United Negro College Fund & occasionally appearing on sitcoms &TV specials.Comment

Because there is a shortage of quality point guards in this 2014 class, good PGs like Nairn have garnered unusually high interest from the top programs that need a point guard. Michigan State missed on a couple other kids recently like Tyler Ulis, but beat out other schools like Indiana, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Creighton, and others for Nairn.
By the way, Lourawls Nairn, is actually Lourawls Nairn, Jr. He is originally from the Bahamas, and he was named after his father, Lourawls Nairn, Sr.
However, his grandparents did name his father after the R&B singer Lou Rawls.
