  • It's fun when it is not happening to Bradley

Go check out some pissed off ISU fans. It might make you feel a little bit better. I know I do.

it's unfortunate but strong teams from top to bottom in Valley helps everyone..
note how a team like South Florida, Southern Miss, NC State, Virginia, & even UConn make NCAA - not because of their record or scheduling - and they all had borderline RPI's but because of their conference strength...
...the other teams at the top of their conference were strong

It doesn't make me feel better. If we were going to compete for 3rd in the Valley I may be excited about it. But I don't see Bradley doing that. So I would rather see the upper level MVC teams stay good at this point.

I also worry that Milton Doyle will go to ISU now and become good. If he is a very good player for 4 years there and I have to watch that, it is really going to bug me.

BU doesn't have a shot at the Sweet 16 - let alone the Big Dance in 2006 if the Valley's top teams weren't as strong. Very true, T.

Would you rather have him at Bradley than the kid we took?

If you are asking would "I" have rather had him then it is yes.

However, I get the feeling Geno really likes Omari and I have only seen a few seconds of video clips and read what other people said about the players.

              Three reasons for me.
              1) Doyle could play right away.
              2) I think he is a very slightlty better player.
              3) He has 4 years instead of 3.

I haven't seen them play to like our coaches have. I do have to say in the clips of Omari I was impressed with his overall play not just 3 point shooting. That surprised me.

But we still want to beat ISU right?

Yeah, but it might take 10 straight losses (it's at 7 currently) before we beat them.

Seemingly, Geno believes Omari is the better player, and clearly, he's seen them both play.

Where did you conclude this from? I don't think Geno has said this. Geno offered both Grier and Doyle, and several others as well. From what I have heard, Grier acted first to take the one available scholarship.

I heard it from a pretty good source.

But that is my point. Nic Moore leaving ISU is a good thing for us.

They were trying to make the argument that NM leaving is bad for the conference overall and thus bad for Bradley. I, for one, would like to beat ISU. Moore leaving ISU is a positive thing.

It shocks me how many closet ISU fans we have on this board.....

+1 As I said before I do not give a rat's a$$ what happens down the street. I also just want to concentrate on how BU can become a consistent force in The Valley.
