Yes, but some Bradley fans believe there isn't one D1 player on the roster and they should all be shown the door. I don't think they will accept any of the above points. Personally, I find it extremely hard to believe anyone would claim Bradley didn't have ANY players that should be playing basketball at the D1 level, but they're out there.

No doubt Jim Les could recruit DC. We had some really good players over his 9 years on The Hilltop. Unfortunately, Les hit a hiccup after that Sweet 16 year that we were unable to recover from... Les' time had run out with many fans and the administration before he had a chance to recover from that mistake and prove many wrong (including me).

I also agree that next the next year will be led by Les recruits -- Walt & DSE. However, I think (and hope) we will see a shift occur in 2013-14 when the majority of players are Geno's guys. If not, Lord help us all.

I've been over it for a long time old coach. Once Bradley hired a new coach I began backing him 100% as I have backed every coach on the hilltop, like him or not. It's about time evidently everybody's favorite sportswriter gets over the fact that who he wanted to take Jim Molinari's place wasn't the one Bradley chose.

I haven't heard anyone say that; that sounds like hyperbole.

I haven't "heard" anyone say it either, but I have seen it posted on another site.

Hint: It's the same site where Bradley fans tell former Bradley players/graduates to "break a leg" and also poke fun at former players/coaches.

I will admit the first time I skimmed the article on my way out the door I didn't notice the comment. But I have to agree it was not called for. I usually disagree with the complaining about the PJS. I will agree on this one.

I don't know how the thread got off track and changed subject, but I choose not to comment on that part of this thread.

PS, I did enjoy having several articles to read. I know it wasn't any breaking news but I was grateful to have some Bradley articles.

I believe it happened when someone questioned Jim Les' recruiting and felt we should do the same thing SMU did.

so you and everyone else - even KW all have the perfect right to opinions - but I don't have that right?

the comments on this article are on THIS ARTICLE - and it's obvious I am not the only one who sees the same pattern of attack by KW - so if I point it out - that's offensive?

No, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Admitting they were wrong about the two completely different ways they treated two different coaches, especially KW. Being wrong about treating Les like dirt for the first 3 years of his run here because he didn't like the guy from the beginning, while treating Geno with great respect despite the worst record in Bradley's history. That is fine since every new coach should get a pass the first year or two, but don't lie about the team improving throughout the season, which they did not. And before anyone else says anything, I'm not holding Geno responsible for the first season since a lot of these players won't figure in his plans after next season. I'm just asking for fair treatment for all new coaches when they get hired here, not just towards the ones they personally like.

This is a coach that we're counting on to be in the league race from start to finish on a consistent basis (Top 3) and produce at the very least a league championship a few years from now (and by few, probably closer to 2015 than 2020).
Yeah, I was using that as an example. I was saying if we are as bad as we were this past year, I wonder how much praise the PJ Star sports department, and KW in particular would be heaping on the team. Probably little if any. Otherwise though, agreed 100% with everything else you said.

Now to you posters and readers here, do you really think that Coach Les is offended by these attacks on him through an article? I think Coach himself is willing to just ignore such criticisms, so why can't we as fans do the same?
Let's stop being offended by these little remarks, which we know come from the same source - this is journalism and free speech - it's the nature of the game. Just stop reading it if you're offended.
And journalism and free speech includes readers disagreeing with what journalists write from time to time. Let's NEVER forget that! We should be so lucky to have the kind of freedoms that many other countries on this planet don't have right now.

No. Nothing stirs up as much emotion as Obama Care. Not even Jim Les!

Wrong. Go back to some of the posts around here back in December. There were some here saying we had no Division I talent whatsoever. It shouldn't be too hard to come across a few of these posts with a little searching.

See my above post. Some of this has been posted here too (regarding us having no Division I talent).

I recall folks saying that the team was lacking in D-I talent, but I don't think anyone said there was no D-I talent.
