Early 2012-2013 Preseason MVC Prediction

They have Bradley pegged for 8th, ISU 2nd...but wait for the Redbird players to defect...
Have to admit I can't recall them ever coming out with such a preseason prediction in the past before the previous school year even ends - and some 6 months before the first game is played..

Good stuff Dave! The article on the MVC predicted order of finish reminds me of just how up in the air next season is after Creighton. Many of the teams 2-10 could finish most anywhere depending on preparation and bad breaks. BU could finish anywhere from 5-10, IMO.

Some nice words from Gary Parrish regarding the Valley this year. My issue though is if Creighton runs away with the conference which I think many believe will happen, while Creighton should be ranked confortably most of the year, will anyone else be able to challange for a second Valley NCAA bid? Unless Illinois St. and/or UNI can become this coming year's Wichita St., we may end up being a one bid league again.

..some see this as a step backwards if we want to compete against the power conferences for media attention.

That's a very "middle America" heavy top 10. You have one school on the left coast, 2 on the east coast, and 7 that are within roughly 400 miles of Peoria.

This is the best preseason write up I've seen. I may look at some of there other write ups as well, if they know a betting also ran like BU this well I assume the coverage of the top 15 conferences is probably pretty good... Way better than most of the mags at least.
