ISU interviewing Dan Muller and Ray Giacoletti Thursday
Good group of potential coaches. But I have a hunch why someone like Dwayne Stephens, who has never been a head coach and has no connections to Illinois, is included in the group to be interviewed.
Jank found greener pastures, Chris Collins turned it down, ....they're going down a familiar path
Meaning???

Still think it would be better for the Valley if ISU is able to bring in a Coach from outside the Valley. There is always the risk of an outsider having success then Janking it out of town.
But, if the Valley keeps having success with young coaches being successful and getting promoted, it will be easier to continue to draw good coaches to the Conference and hopefully better players who recognize the level of coaching in the Valley.
Now if the outsider replacement coach bombs at ISU, nothing gained... by anyone, except rabid BU fans

Define outsider? All 3 candidates have strong ISU and central Illinois ties.

Who cares who they get? All I am is concerned about BU. We should have a better program then them and last year we were not even close. Our sights need to be on the consistent winning programs in our conference. In reality we should be able to out recruit them. We have a better academic school, nicer facilities and much better fan base. Let's take care of our house before worrying about them.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
I find it interesting that the potential coaching lists seem to always be the same regardless of mid-major school.
Giacoletti is always mentioned as a potential candidate everywhere, yet he seems to always be passed over.
