University of Tennessee - who pay their women's basketball (almost $1.5 mil), football (about $2 mil), and men's basketball (almost $1.5 mil) coaches salaries that are in the upper echelon --
..are eliminating 17 staff positions immediately and more in the near future as those in the positions retire or leave...
- saving over $1.85 million in 2012-2013 -- additional cutbacks in spending will bring the savings to $2.5 million
Note that they pay the guy who runs their athletic web site $75,591 - a pretty danged good paycheck for something that if I were a UT fan, I'd gladly do for free - and that guys like BP & staff kinda do in their spare time between doing other things...
