I suspect more transfers from D-I in the future since the current generation of players (and future ones as well) are coming more from a "me first" perspective (note no value judgement on this)..
They may be less likely to wait around to see if they can get/earn a chance to play...even if the program is a top D-I and there are plenty of other benefits to being on top teams (TV, Tourneys, etc).
What could also fuel more upper level D-I program transfers is if more top DI schools go the one (or two) and done mentality... The constant inflow of top players will leave virtually no room for non starters to work their way into the starting line up as juniors or senio
Social media, internet video expansion, pay per view etc is giving more schools more exposure and more opportunities to get on TV. Adding NBC Sports Channel, and, CBS Sports Channel to the already growing Conference TV Cable Networks, should give more and more mid major schools an opportunity for regional cable tv coverage....BUilding for the Future

I like the way Geno is going about this. It's much like Versace did and it's similar to what Les turned to after a few years. Hopefully, after the program has been stabilized we can maintain a good mix of 4-year players with a few transfers mixed in. We've seen what can happen when a program gets too transfer heavy... It's tough to maintain consistency when one of your best one or two players is leaving every year.Once A Brave Always A Brave!

Here's a junior college transfer kid who I wonder if we took a look at...he's really a great shooter and scorer....
DeAndre Upchurch - from Highland CC who played last year alongside Missouri State's Jarmar Gulley
DeAndreaveraged 22 ppg and 40% on 3's (117-289) last year as a freshman and this year even better...
26 ppg and continues consistently at 40% on 3's (118-296) & 83% on FT, and is ranked #28 nationally on the Jucojunction Top 150
There has to be some way if the kid is worth it - to get him some summer classes and get him D-I eligible...
Instead.......He is going D-II
