I don't think this player addition really fills a roster need for Iowa, but there are a lot of reasons I'm excited about this.

The backstory to this whole situation is really amazing...player being pressured into taking a scholarship through fear, the player regretting the decision almost immediately, but felt trapped, and ended up taking a stand and getting out of a bad situation.

Sounds overly dramatic, but is true. I'm guessing the details will get into the public sphere at some point.
