Is Kentucky going to change their team name to the "Reloaders"?
Maybe the "Freeloaders"? (up for debate, but their coach is sleezily suspicious)
"Roadrunners"? (since core players hit the road after 1 year) -
There is nothing sleezily about the players that go to Kentucky or the Kentucky program. Calapari just get all of the best players who are just looking to become eligible for the NBA draft. In reality, Calipari probably doesn't have to pay anything under the table to top 1 and done players. All he has to do is land 1 or 2 top recruits, then for the other 3 spots, he can go out and almost guarantee a championship to them. That's all most of these 1 and done players want. A high chance at the championship and then getting their money in the NBA afterwards. Why take 10's of thousands of dollars to go to a school when you know your going to get millions the following year. I think most of them would rather win it all.

Calipari, as well as many other of the most successful coaches who always seem to land the top talent know how to cheat the system without getting caught. Others in the system might get caught, but Cal won't. There is a reason that 2 of his previous Final Four appearances have been vacated, and a reason the Sun Times printed their article a year ago stating clearly that the family of Anthony Davis received $200,000 to go to Kentucky. They still stand behind their assertions, despite threats of lawsuits that never happened. Too bad, because it would have been fun seeing what came out under oath.
I have talked to former college coaches tell stories of what they have learned on the recruiting trail. I have head many stories from different coaches about the "bagmen" who are associated with some of the top programs. These are people who are not easy to connect to a specific school or coach, but who carry bags full of cash while visiting. It is actually quite easy to funnel cash to top recruits, their families, and their coaches and confidants to influence their college decisions. And it works. And you'd have to be foolish to think it doesn't happen when there are millions of dollars at stake to teams like Kentucky that can compete for national championships year after year.

Yes - I agree that most players would want to win it all (the NCAA tourney) than have thousands of dollars cash...IF THEY HAD A GREAT SHOT TO MAKE IT TO THE NBA to eventually make millions.Comment
