Just got done talking with Da Coach who is at the game in Chicago
He said the atmosphere was electric. Smaller but similar to Auburn Hills.
Bradley fans were as loud and excited as ever.
Nobody will deny that Bradley is a talented team and would finish in the upper half of the Big East-- nobody except maybe Gary Williams.
But Bradley dominated this game so severely that there were red-clad Rutgers people getting up and leaving at halftime!!
People unfamiliar with Bradley were asking "how did you get all those players", "they make Rutgers look like a minor league team", and "This coach has them playing like a Top 10 team"...
If BU wins Saturday, anyone wanna guess how many votes does BU get in the next poll?
If BU wins Sat., that'll be the next Pick-em!!
All the BU fans at the Sears Centre are staying to watch the Illini game
A few want to root against Illinois, but vast majority want not only the team with the highest RPI, but also the team that generally gets more pub than BU.

Go Braves....could they really be good??
If that vast majority would go over to the Illini message board to read some of the comments about the BU-RU game, they might change their tune. I don't know if I want Illinois to win so we can show them what we've got, although conversely, they could show us what they've got too! Or, I want the Redhawks to absolutely wipe the floor with orange and blue! I guess it depends on who you converse with, but many UI fans I know could care less about any team outside the Big 10 and even then, it's all talk about grandeur that's due the Illini. To wit, they mostly said there was no way Bradley could do to them what we did to Rutgers based on the fact that they had better athletes than Bradley and that Bruce Weber wouldn't dare let them play poorly enough to lose to an MVC team, let alone one that was picked as low as 8th in the pre-season voting. Many comments were about how poor Rutgers really was and that they had lost earlier this week at home to Jackson State. Flipping through the thread regarding the Wisconsin-Missouri State game, many comments were about how Wisconsin choked, was overrated, would catch their lunch in the Big 10 and the post-season, but little praise for the Bears and their big victory. It took a Wichita State fan to point out to those "memory lapsers" that the Shockers took Illinois to the wall in the same tournament last year and that the Missouri Valley did and still does play some pretty good basketball. Oddly enough, the same Illini fans drooled all over themselves in heaping praise for SIU's win over Minnesota earlier today. So, I guess on the respect meter, SIU has it by a bunch over Bradley and Missouri State when it comes to fans/students/alums that post on the Illini board. I love Illinois in football, but when it comes to basketball, this is how I really feel about them ! Funny, I thought the game of basketball was invented by Dr. Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts--not Champaign-Urbana.
"The NCAA is so upset about alleged recruiting violations at Kentucky that they decided to give Cleveland State the Death Penalty"--Jerry Tarkanian
tremendous victory for you guys. You are playing incredibly well for it being early in the season.
I think you guys can not only beat Illinois, but you can beat them handily I think.
Good luck and send St. Bruce of Champaign home with a big fat L
Go Braves
Dinma Odiakosa 6'8 255......The Nigerian Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 37 points and 27 boards in 2 wins over Bradley. "Will Egolf is 6'9 and he had 4 rebounds. That's not good enough and he's not good enough"....Dick Versace 2/9/10
HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. -- Bradley (5-0) took its 3-point shooting show on the road and continued its torrid long-range attack, draining 13 first-half 3-pointers en route to a 101-72 victory versus Rutgers (1-3) in the third round of the Chicago Invitational Challenge Friday evening at the new Sears Centre. The Braves advanced to the tournament's championship game and will play either Miami-Ohio or Illinois in Saturday's 7:30 p.m. tournament finale. Junior guard Jeremy Crouch, who sank all three of his 3-point tries, led five Braves in double-figures with a game-high 19 points, while senior center Zach Andrews provided some interior punch with 16 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
