Zach's story is truly moving, inspirational, and humbling. Thank you to Jerry Izenberg and The Star-Ledger in New Jersey for helping Bradley fans in Peoria and elsewhere learn more about their team.
What a heart warming story. In only 2 years Zach has become one of the all time favorites at Bradley. He's so much fun to watch, the way he hustles for a guy his size. I would hope the Journal-Star would print this story, but don't count on it.
This is a great story and a testiment to what someone can do if they set their goals and stick to them! Too bad the only stories out of the pjs are articles poking fun at BU for getting votes in the Top 20! This is a story that ought to have come out from the local paper and I'd venture to say that alomost every player to a man on this years squad has a good story about their past that most BU fans would love to read!
Thank GOD for people like Valerie Lopez, Mrs. Peterson, Coach Doug Cornelius, Coach Les, and the others who cared about Zach and acted upon their caring.
This is a tremendous story.
BUT-- it's not the first time this whole story has been a topic on BradleyFans.
Many will recall that Coach Corn led us to a similar article about Zach in the Sacramento Bee a year and a half ago.
I also remember a story on Marcello Robinson and his hometown and his many friends selling drugs and dying young from gang related issues! MR has turned out to be a class citizen to the community and a fine product of Bradley U!
Don't count on too many stories in the PJS that would make the Bradley basketball program look good as long as KW is in charge. He's been negative ever since Les got the coaching job instead of McClain.
