AND ... Peoria was able to watch only the second half. Believe it or not, the NCAA championship game was pre-empted by the IHSA championship game featuring Shelly McMillon's DuSable team vs. Mt. Vernon. I remember it (and the frustration) very well. That DuSable team also featured Sweet Charlie Brown and Curley Johnson who, as I recall, didn't play in the tournament.
