  • Creighton player takes twitter abuse

When North Carolina guard Kendall Marshall fell to the floor and broke his wrist in Sunday's game against Creighton, it was Creighton's Ethan Wragge that bumped him and was charged with a foul. IMO, there was no intent to injure Marshall, but unfortunately, the injury could harm North Carolina's chances to advance further in the tournament.
Here is the foul and injury- you be the judge if it was intentional-

But here is the bizarre part- Ethan Wragge is getting the most viscious and vile tweets from some classless North Carolina fans. Check them out, but be warned they are quite vulgar-

Just really sad that this so called fans would go to such length for an incident like this. I didn't see anything flagrant about this - these fans are just bashing him because of the result - caused by Marshall just landing wrong. And there's a 50% chance that Wragge's little forearm shove (which is even debatable) had nothing to do with the injury.

Since UNC's fan base is so large, I will reserve judgment on their fans - but these in particular are classless fans who by their opinions and fierce attacks on Wragge would likely have done much more harm to an opposing player if THEY were in uniform.

Tough for Wragge, but he seems like a tough-minded kid, and hopefully he will not be phased by this.

Little Brave, you are right that was in no way a flagrant foul and that is coming from someone who does not like Creighton. I would call that just a personnal foul 100% of the time. Have seen 1000's just like that and none have ever been call a flagrant. It's just unforunate he fell on his wrist and broke it. Just shows what class NC fans have.

I thought the Creighton players would hear it from UNC ever since they slapped on Henson's wrist and drew the T. And then Echinique's forearm to Zeller, which looked hilarious as it happened.

These tweets are similar to what was being said about Maniscalco by Illini fans!

The ESPN reporters all said it was not flagrant or intentional , UNC fans are upset because it hurts their chances at winning the National title and are lashing out because of it, best thing Wragge can do is ignore it because if anyone knows about how injuries can hurt a team it is Bradley fans.

Pictures show that Kendall Marshall also pushed off with his left hand & arm --

You had great seats to the game! Maybe send it to the UNC fan site.

What was the score when this incident happened? I didn't watch game so don't know. Wondering if UNC player should have even been in the game at that point anyway; always a chance for an injury when not necessary.

Those tweets are classless and bogus. A product of the anonymity of the internet.

They are also upset about this play. Which they might have more of a point about.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=aDWkL5lh0Oc

UNC is North Carolina's state team. When you have a state full of rednecks where the majority of the team's fans never went to the school and can barely read and write... This is what you get.

That post was unnecessary. You are no better than the people you are criticizing.
