Cuonzo finished the season 19-15 at Tennessee...with a few big wins over UConn, Vandy, and at Florida...but very disappointing at other times...such as losses to Oakland, Austin Peay, College of Charleston, and now Middle Tennessee...
Tennessee fans a really mixed on their opinion of Cuonzo -- some like him others do not...
what do others think....I know it's a new system and coach for the players and new players for the coach...but.....
but it's not like his cupboard was bare...he has some really top notch players...nine McD AA nominees, a full dozen kids who were 1st team ALL STATE in their respective states...and more highly rated 4-STAR & 5-STAR kids than all but ONE team in their conference...
Jarnell Stokes is a 5-STAR, #11 ranked player nationally
Trae Golden was the 50th ranked player nationally - rated 4-STARS
Kenny Hall was ranked #29 nationally and 4-STARS
Jeronne Maymon was ranked 46th nationally and 4-STARS
Jordan McRae was 47th ranked and 4-STARS
Dwight Miller was ranked 65th nationally and 4-STARS
Renaldo Woolridge was ranked #53 nationally and 4-STAR
They had so much talent that TOP incoming kids like Quinton Chievous and Wes Washpun who BU and other Valley teams were pursuing couldn't even find any playing time!
So there are reasons that fans were bummed...

well -- maybe but even he says they need to upgrade their non-conference schedule....
Here's the problem, though -- unless ISU wins the MVC Tourney in St. Louis -- and nothing yet makes me think they're a lock -- then they're NOT going to get an at large bid unless their non-conference schedule is at least ranked in the Top 100 - not 300th!
And were currently almost to April - ain't a whole lot of GREAT teams out there wanting a game with ISU -- and I SERIOUSLY doubt there's a whole lot of Top 50 RPI teams just sitting and waiting by their phones for ISU to call...or waiting for an invitation to come play at Redbird Arena - since Jankovich has stated many, many times that he will NOT play anyone unless they are willing to do a return game in Bloomington...
So they are either doomed to another lousy schedule of Longwoods and Alcorn States or Jank will have to contradict himself and do what he has always said he will never do.
