Great run to win the 3A title. Central was easily the best "team" with a bunch of kids who were well coached, and unselfish.
Here is a link to the box score-
One comment- North Chicago's All-Stater Aaron Simpson is the epitome of a "gunner". He has no conscience about shooting, even when he is shooting his team out of the game, which happened in the second half. In the 3rd quarter, he missed almost every shot he took, but he kept chucking them up which lead to Central's biggest lead of the game (15 points in mid-3rd quarter). In the fourth quarter, he made a few, but still missed more than he made to keep his team from getting back in the game. He took 26 shots, which was more than every other starter combined. Many of his shots weren't even close, leading to long rebounds, which seems to be the main job of the other North Chicago players- to chase down Simpson's misses and feed him for another shot. They did get 15 offensive rebounds, most of them in the second half, to keep them from being blown out.

I wonder why Central didn't slow it down and eat the clock in the 4th quarter the way the well-coached Chuck Buescher teams always did...
in effect - by rushing the ball up, turning it over, and missing shots - they were playing right into North Chicago's plans - and left the game closer than it needed to be...

I loved that number 22, he was on fire today! Huge standing ovation when he fouled out on a junk call though Congrats Central! Look out for my East Peoria next year!
.....
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

Based on what I have heard about him the past two weeks, sounds like you can expect some more announcements in the near future.
