Another Big East team bites the dust. Seton Hall, who was a #1 seed in the NIT went down to UMass tonight at Seton Hall.

A tough loss for Drake- they lost last night in the CIT at Rice 74-68

The attendance was 731. I wonder if that was enough to cover the guarantee the CIT requires for a home game?

Drake pretty much went the full way with the five starters and three of their guys (Madison, Woods, Welfringer) who average double digit minutes and who total 34 starts between them - did not play.

Drake might be a little better next year because they lose only two players (Alexander, Woods) and get center Seth Van Deest back

Madison and Woods were both injured, which left Drake with only 8 scholarship players available.

Drake should be more than a little better next year, as they bring back all 5 starters (Alexander only started the last 3-4 games because Madison was injured), get back Van Deest and Uhlenhopp who missed the entire season, and add 4 recruits, all of who can help right away. Depth was a huge issue this year due to injuries (Wiseler, Van Deest and Uhlenhopp out for the season, several other guys missing portion of the season with injuries/illness).....should not be an issue next season.
