  • #15 Lehigh vs #2 Duke

Don't look now but we may have our first multiple #15/#2 upsets in the same tourney as Lehigh leads Duke 56-53, with under 4 minutes to go! Duke is shorthanded. playing without Ryan Kelly who is out with a right leg sprain.

I was THIS close to picking Lehigh in my bracket based on Duke's mediocre play at home during the ACC conference season. But figured they would at least get by Lehigh tonight! Win or lose, I don't think Duke is not long for this tournament.

    Now 56-54 Lehigh.

Well, how about a two game winning streak for #15's over #2's?! Who would have thought this would happen!

I think it's about time that the pundits start giving the lower mid-majors some respect!

ok - but then why did we have to listen to two hours of those announcers racking their brains to come up with soime kind of excuse or alibi for Duke playing poorly...

..they were missing KEY PLAYERS, they are forced to rely on freshmen because their best players jump to the NBA, a lot of bad foul calls...etc...

Hey -- IF BU loses a game it's the players or coaches who get the rips -- so why not treat Duke the same??

again one game......anything can happen. Did anyone think that Lehigh is a better team? The best team doesn't always win. It's the team that played better that game...that's what makes the tournament so great...

I rarely care what announcers say...and they would probably say it in any game where a 15 beats a 2

not sure where BU fits into this thread....I'm guessing Duke got ripped locally after the loss...I don't know.....BU doesn't get ripped nationally after a loss...we'll see what happens after we win a few national championships

you have to love his enthusiam though.....seems like every time I hear him he's pretty complimentary to all programs and coaches...yes he likes some more than others...but he's not nearly as negative as some others regarding mid majors....

CU and WSU got good publicity all year really as well as a number of other mids for tourney from a number of the pundits

I really enjoyed watching Lehigh beat Duke. It was also frustrating to me knowing that one of Lehigh's best players (Gabe Knutson) wanted to come to Drake, but the Drake coaches never offered him.
