IHSA Class 3A and 4A games

In the first 3A semifinal game, North Chicago beat Springfield Lanphier 74-67
Both teams have several very quick, athletic players. Lanphier lead 45-34 at halftime, as North Chicago shot poorly. All Stater Aaron Simpson was just 1-9 in the first half.
In the second half, North Chicago was the more aggressive team, getting a lot of rebounds and putbacks and getting to the FT line. Also, Lanphier went cold from the floor. Simpson finished the game with 4-20 shooting, but he was 12-14 from the FT line for a team-leading 23 points.

The second semifinal 3A game is just staring between Peoria Central and Country Club Hills Hillcrest HS.

I would have liked to see Central play Simeon to perhaps see who the real best team in the State is?? --seems like the whole thing is so watered down with 4 classes now--I don't enjoy it near as much as I did when we had 2 classes.

I actually thought the shoe thing was pretty cool!

I only saw the championship game, but the player I liked very much was Steve Taylor from Simeon. He is going to be a ton at Marquette!

He is just a junior. He hasn't decided yet.

I also thought Taylor was impressive (more so than Parker)--Marquette is getting a good one!
