BTW -- after winning 7 straight during "Linsanity" to get back at 15-15 - the Knicks proceeded to lose 9 of the next 12....

Figure this...
The Knicks were 6-1 when Carmelo Anthony did not play...
but they were 12-23 with Carmelo being coached by D'Antoni....and 2-8 since his return from injury.

I think D'Antoni is a good coach, and his system works when he has the right players, as evidenced when Carmelo was out.

Mike Woodson takes over as head coach. But the big rumor is that they will try to coax Phil Jackson out of retirement to become the Knicks coach-

I am not sure I can see that happening. Jackson has a history of being interested in coaching only when he knows he is taking over a team ready to win. But the Knicks are a disaster, and nothing Jackson can do will turn that mess into a winner, IMO.
