I guess a win is a win but....Drake's close win at home over North Dakota is still kinda surprising...
this game was very close and Drake was very fortunate to win it...
This game was even up to the final 3 minutes...with Drake never leading in the 2nd half 'til the final 8 minutes.
ND was even within 1-2 points all the way until just the final few seconds - and Drake did not score a basket in the last 2 minutes but did hit several FT's as ND tried to foul to stop the clock.
..but seriously - North Dakota??? They're practically a D-II....
They claim to be 17-15 but FOUR of their wins are over D-II's and D-III's (Waldorf, Jamestown, Mayville, Valley City),
AND the other 11 wins include Idaho State, Montana, SD State, ND St., NJIT-twice, Chicago State-twice, Longwood, Houiston Baptist, Texas Pan American-twice, and Utah Valley.
Unfortunately this is almost as much embarrassing that a team who TIED for 3rd place in the Valley had this much trouble at home against a D-II caliber opponent.
