The Peoria Journal Star has an article on the front page of the sports section today (Thursday) about Trusted Choice Tournament of Champions. (the link to this article is not posted on the website).
But there is a big mistake printed about the time for the game involving Anthony Thompson's Houston Klein Forest High School.
In the article by Bill Liesse, he reviews some of the teams and players who will be playing in the tournament Friday and Saturday.
The article mentions that Bradley fans might want to come see Anthony Thompson, but then states-
"Thompson's team plays only once, Saturday 1 p.m. at Carver against Decatur Christian."
For the benefit of Bradley fans who want to see Thompson play, note that his game is actually at 11:45 am at Carver. If you go at 1:00, you will miss Thompson!
I have emailed Mr. Liesse about this mistake, since there are a lot of Bradley fans planning to go see Thompson. I asked him to try to put a correction into Friday's paper, and I also suggested he mention a couple other local teams that he failed to mention at all. -
Washington High School, with Bradley recruiting target Matt Roth, plays 3 times in 2 days- Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Fieldhouse, and Saturday at 10:15 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. in Carver Arena.
Also, Manual High School plays at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fieldhouse.
