Sucky situation for Wichita State all the way around - based on the seeds, they were guaranteed to play a mid-major 12 seed no matter what. It was either VCU, Long Beach St, or Harvard. No one would've been happy with any of the 3.

Creighton was 29 on the S-curve, one spot away from the 7 line. Oh well.

Bradley was a 7 seed in 1986 Coach... .they played 10 seed UTEP, before losing to 2 seed Louisville.....

Bradley was a 9 seed in 1988, losing to 8 seed Auburn. I think Bradley got a bad seed both of the years....

Yes, I was getting 1986 and 1988 mixed up.

Except 86 was the year we had just 2 losses.

It doesn't matter. That was the softest 12-6 Big East record I have ever seen! That said though, I don't think there's anyway a 12-6 Big East team would ever be left out of the tourney. But congrats to USF for showing that their selection was deserved.

Even more amazing is they won by 14 despite going 16 minutes in the 1st half without a field goal, during which time they missed 22 straight shots.
