Although a handful of Pac-12 teams have had decent years...

    Here's something interesting...

The combined record of the TOP THREE Pac-12 teams against the TOP 50 RPI is 0-14...
and the combined record of the TOP 6 Pac-12 teams against TOP 50 RPI is 2-25
and the record of the entire conference against TOP 50 RPI teams is 7-46
Only Cal at RPI 34 has an RPI better than 60

BIG TIME BCS TEAM there did lose to South Dakota State by 19 though.

Their top 50 RPI wins are over Cal, who is in the conference, so they hardly count.

The conference has 1 Top 50 non-con win. And that's Colorado State. And that's by a non-bubble team (Stanford).

Washington against Iona and Drexel and Oral Bob and Middle Tennessee is a good debate of mid-major champions. Pac-12 was still better than the MAAC, CAA, Summit, and Sun Belt this year, but still.

Yep...Stanford was 7th in the Pac 12...the top 6 all had zero top 50 non-conference wins. Washington will probably get in solely because they won the Pac 12 title, and it is a top 10 league even this season.

Has there ever been a top-6 conference in any past year that has done as poorly against other top 100 or top 50 teams as the Pac-12 did this year? The NCAA needs to send a message, and make them a 1-bid conference.

Ha - I was watching on Comcast last night and the talk was non-stop on how many of their teams deserved in...4, maybe 5...

              Teams get bids, not conferences.

Don't worry, because none of the individual teams deserve it either

If the NCAA does that, then they will be setting a very dangerous precedent. Or at least, sending a very clear message.

Well I can the local west coast news has only Cal going right now unless someone else wins the conference Tourney.

Someone else won the tourney...either Arizona or Colorado. Cal should still be good to go.

Ha - Colorado - who could never finish better than mediocre or even further down in the basement of the Big 12,
moves to the Pac-12 and suddenly becomes one of their best teams and wins the Pac-12 Tournament on their first try!

I think they may have set that precedent last year with UAB...very similar profile to Washington this season.
