what "back and forth" are you talking about -- I have little idea what you mean..?

if you are implying there's gobs of talk here about some other message board - then you are totally imagining it...I see none at all - -and I do not go to whatever board you must be referring to but I do hear there's one that talks about what's on this board all the time, so maybe take your plea there

I checked the front page of threads on BradleyFans - and not one thread in the past 100 mentions or has to do with what's being said on some other board...and yet there over 100 different threads about interesting, relevant topics.

And - against my better judgement I went to the board you are obviously referring to and immediately found only a handful of threads active this week - and right at the top with 57 pages of stored hatred and venom is one about who and what is on this board.
Then all the rest are topics that are nothing but cut and paste of the info off this board without anyone ever getting credit where they ripped it off...

I posted the same message there. I was hoping both sides could let it go and move forward.

There is a thread there. Then here today, I read about making an exclusive members-only posting area and got an email from "anonymous" saying I would not be included in that area.

Why is it like this in both places? I do not understand it.

since you have not cited one thread dedicated to trashing "TOB"

I just spent several minutes doing repeated searches - cannot find a single thread going back years that is for the purpose of even discussing what's on the other board - let alone purely for attacking people with intense personal attacks.

Against my better judgment, I'm stepping in.

To be fair, t, given all the threads in the past that have been removed, I think the reason you don't find posts that really mention TOB in any way shape, or form is because they're removed. And that's a good thing, by the way. TOB doesn't remove them. That's a problem. You guys, especially compared to them, don't want to degrade to name calling. This much I definitely believe and I do find a lot of fault in many of their posts in that behemoth of a thread they have.

I do think there is a mistake if people think that entire thread is filled with hate and venom. I think a lot of what goes on there is their own form of venting. Disagreeing with something you or someone else may write, which is not the same as insulting. Unfortunately, for a few select posters I have a problem with over there, they always take those criticisms a step further.

Right now I think there's a small group of posters there giving a black mark to the other posters there. I'm sure you believe that the group of posters giving this board crap is a minority compared to the overall group of posters over there, right?

I am on this board as much as anyone and I still have NEVER seen such threads -- none - wouldn't you think one of them would be findable???

It sure is a convenient line to say "they're all removed"...
but I have never seen them....and even if they are removed - then, isn't that the way it should be???
Why don't other boards remove hostile and hateful personal attacks? I think you just answered your own question...
it is because such posts ARE deemed inappropriate and impermissible here but they are deemed appropriate and to be encouraged there.

It's been suggested to us that we should eliminate this thread, as we should focus on the numerous basketball related topics going on right now. For now we'll lock it before it degenerates into what goes on elsewhere. And also because this is a basketball forum, and this is off topic.

And sorry to say that very few people here even know what TOB is, and most of the ones that do don't ever visit there. So this is all pretty much moot.
