So far yes. WIU on a 14-2 run going back to about 4 minutes left in the first half. Now 15 to go, and WIU up 37-25.

No kidding. I would like to see WIU shoot the ball with about 12 to 15 seconds left on the shot clock, not force up a shot near 0. But boy that defense is great!

                Overtime, tied at 44.

WIU taking too long to get a shot off!

It's not often that you see both teams get a shot clock violation in the final minute of the game.

Yes, definitely rare to see that.

Well, good effort in a 52-50 loss by WIU, but is it just me or did they seem to play "prevent offense" for the last ten minutes of the 2nd half? A little more aggressiveness on the offensive end would have put them over the top.

Too bad, looked like their guy just sort of tripped over his own feet and had to throw it up there at the end.

That was my impression, tried to sit on that 10 point lead for the last 10 minutes, didn't try to execute on offense until about 8 seconds left in the shot clock from there out.

Couple of things I thought. WIU tried to fast break 3 times in a row and didn't get a good shot doing it. Unless it's a wide open path to the basket they shouldn't force the break....

They couldn't make a shot while SDS kept missing shots midway through the second half and they kept tensing more and more the rest of the game...especially Clark...

looking at the stats...WIU lost this game at the ft line...33% only 2-6 but i think all were in regulation.....they outshot SDS from then field and from 3....

Yeah, fast breaks are one thing, which is fine not to try them if they are not working. But letting the shot clock go down to under 10 seconds before even making a run towards the basket is expecting a lot with so little time left. Obviously great defense wins championships, but not while playing to protect a lead. They should have continued the offense that got them the big lead in the first place even if SDS was clamping down on it more. All they needed was one or two more baskets and they would have been dancing.
