Wichita-ISU
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!Tags: None

ISU giving WSU all they can handle, down 52-50 with 11 minutes to go. Preferrably I would like to see both Wichita St. and Creighton upset today. It may make for terrible ratings for the MVC final in an ISU/Evansville final, but at least the Valley would get three teams in the Big Dance for sure!

We may or may not see some questionable calls in Evansville's favor coming up in the next hour

The team that should be worried now is Northwestern and the teams right above them (and anyone in the Pac 12), as I'm not sure Northwestern is in right now even with their win against Iowa today.
But back to the Valley teams. Wichita St. should still get a 6 or 7 seed at the worst, and I still believe they have Final Four potential despite today's loss. This is a good loss as this will just serve to make them even more determined going into the NCAA Tournament. And unlike last year where they sat nervously on Selection Sunday after winning the Valley regular season but failing to win the Valley tourney, they have no reason to be nervous this Selection Sunday outside of where they may be seeded. They can kiss a 3 or 4 seed goodbye, but I'm sure they would be happy if they get a 5 seed, which is where I think they deserve to be. And as much as I would like to see Murray St. seeded at least a 5 seed based on their gaudy record, I still believe the Shockers should be seeded higher than them based on all the great wins they had this year.

I was banned from the Shocker board earlier in the week for stating the obvious...........that there was no way in hell that they would win in St. Louis since they never have and this year would be no exception. Made a comment about the long line of cars always heading back down I-44 & leaving empty motel rooms and cheap tickets behind. One of their posters started cursing at me and almost got banned so they ganged up on the moderator and banned me. Really really hurts my feelings that I can't go over there and tell them what a great game they played today. Maybe one of them will come over here and accept my congratulations? If not, oh well I tried.

Indeed!

since the early 1980's. Add to this more and more 'involvement' by and from
the thought police - referees on court and what you get is a malaise of a
longer than long show and no basketball game. There has got to be some place we can go to have fun!

As for the posts about ISU and the NIT, just no. No. That committee is crooked. Straight-up crooked. They'll believe ISU is our strongest candidate, and they will not take a team with that kind of resume. They won't. I would bet copious amounts of money on it.
