My guess is he would prefer to keep that confidential...and probably gives far more than he lets on as most honest and generous people do....
people who brag about how much they give don't instill a lot of confidence that they are telling the truth

You are correct that these are low-key, humble people. I can assure you more has been donated to Bradley than to Michigan.

I don't think any assumption of recruitment in trade for donation is fair. I know family well and can answer without asking.

It seems to me that Beilein is a no nonsense straightforward coach who is a really good recruiter and plays whoever gives them the best chance to win, regardless of what year they are. Kinda of like most coaches do. He wouldn't be the first coach to say great things about his recruits and promise them the moon and then that player gets passed over for the next big thing. Pretty common story at most major programs. If Max is unhappy with his playing time wouldn't you think we'd of heard about it by know? If he's happy who are we to judge.

sure - as long as he's happy - he's entitled to stay - but it is no secret that a lot of coaches recruit kids just to solidify their big man depth - that's kinda what the coach at Washington State says about BU recruiting target Jermaine Morgan...
but big guys leave all the time looking for more playing time, we've talked about dozens of them - once they finally figure out they are not going to play ... time will tell....

Just read something quite interesting....

last year after such a great run to the Final Four, Michigan's Mitch McGary was hyped as a possible Top 10 NBA draft pick - and almost certainly in the lottery - but now...
After he declines to go in the draft and comes back for this year -
Injuries and early struggles have dropped him in the MOCK DRAFTS all the way to the BOTTOM of the 1st round and some have him in the 2nd round.
Could his decision to return be a big mistake? ..

Max got a chance to play tonight in Michigan's huge blowout win over Nebraska - he hadn't played in the past several games -
he was scoreless on 0-3...unfortunate for Max that even tho they've had some serious injury issues with their big men - he still barely plays.
