So, the coaching is not a factor? That is absolutely stunning!

Fans are the REAL reason Bradley hasn't won a conference title or tournament in the past few decades! Why, oh why, did I go to all those games?

So what we really need to is to play games in empty arenas and have full media blackouts. That way no fans can interfere with the results. Now I see the full picture.

So now I get why BU hasn't won an MVC tourney in St. Louis. It is because I have been to the tourney all but two of those years. I don't understand why BU didn't win it those two years, since I'm the reason we don't win. JD must have been there those two years, since he's also contributing to all our losses.

Let's go one step further and limit it to "active" members. That ought to eliminate 95% of the registered members. Right now, we've got 12 members online and 119 guests viewing. We could even change the name of the board to "ExclusiveBradleyFansOnly.com".

We could have our own little private club where we all agree with each other and tell each of our exclusive members how great they are. This is America, right?

I'm not sure what your point is, but I have gotten PMs, emails, and other personal communications from a number of moms and dads of players and recruits. They have all been amazed at the enthusiasm, and support that Bradley fans have for their players. I have never heard a single negative comment from any player, recruit, or family member. OTOH, some of these same family members have commented at how personal and negative other boards are.
As we have reiterated, I am certain this is because we do not allow personal attacks and overly negative comments on players.

My point is Chips saying to make this board visible to only members would eliminate that benefit of the board.

Even if it could be worked out, it would be a bad idea. I have other reasons I think it would be a bad idea but won't post them.

DC, I recommend you stay away from the place where that stuff is allowed and encouraged. Those people post to hurt you, plain and simple. It's not about BU basketball to them, it's about reaming the guy who had the power to snuff out their hatred and personal attacks. Kudos to you for relegating them to the kiddie board, now you can ignore them. The only reason they post it is because they think you will read it. Don't give them the satisfaction.

Thank you B&C. I know what you are saying and you are 100% right. We don't plan to change anything here, and that's what irks a few people. I don't know why they don't just start their own site, but they'd rather just snipe. It's funny because the traffic and page-views here are as high as they have ever been, so we must be doing something right.

There's ways to do it. You would hope that people would be sophisticated enough not to make things personal and mock people for their opinions. Disagreeing is fine, but insulting and attacking individual people continuously is AT BEST not constructive, and at worst psychotic.

And then when you start calling out their occupations and where they live, then it becomes an obsession where the entire purpose is to embarrass and hurt. And they are proud of it.

Back on topic,

How do BU's recruits for 2012-13 stack up to those from other Valley Teams.

Granted we only have a couple recruits (and should add Nate Wells to the list), but, are the guys coming so far on par with the guys the other Valley Teams have coming in?

BU may still not have enough horses next season, but if the ones arriving this coming season, and the next couple seasons, are comparable to other MVC Teams, BU will ultimately be more competitive.

Did we grab recruits other MVC Teams were looking at seriously?

This is very subjective, and not science, but, that's the point of a Forum!
