I choose to believe evidence and data. I do not care what "experts" say. In some cases it is a bad idea. In some cases it works out fine. I dont think its a simple good vs bad situation.

what programs have brought in five or more players who logged lots of court time, and they ended up doing well...?
(don't give me Kentucky - which is the first or only example everyone always comes up with -- because they load up each year with 5-Star bluechippers - nobody else would ever be able to do that and that's really not what we're talking about here - we're talking a mid-major at the bottom of the MVC reloading with eight newbies...)

Anyone remember the Kirk Wessler "Seven D-I Virgins"???
He reamed BU for loading up with way too many new players and rode that argument for a couple years claiming how he knew all along it was a horrible move and was bound to fail!!
Kirk's one of your heroes - you calling him wrong??

BTW -- Kirk failed to note the facts that refuted his own argument - in that in 2006 Bradley did GREAT using numerous kids who were all new to D-I just one to two years earlier..
TB, POB, Boogie, Will Franklin, Zach Andrews, DRuff, Jeremy Crouch, etc...
      BU didn't have a single 4-year D-I player

I wasnt aware there was an MVC team reloading with 8 new players.

Sometimes high player turnover works. Sometimes it does not. Im not sure what else there is to be said.

"don't bring in too many new guys all at once"...unless you have too!

Continuity issues, getting to know one another, players competing with each other to be 'the guy' can be the downside of too many new faces at once....

However, if the guys you have go 4-12 and 2-16, bring in lots of better players and take your chances...

I think that Walt (if he can hit outsides shots at a decent percentage) is capable of being THE GUY for this team the next 2 years, with averages in points being as many as 17-20........

While I think he CAN accomplish this, scoring 17-20 would lead me to believe that he is our main scorer, with not much else help. I'd like to see a more balanced attack in the coming years. And as we get more guys reaching double-digit scoring on avg. (JP, DSE, TP, WE) his average will be steady - more like 14-15 ppg. Just my thinking.
But I do see Walt being a more complete player the next 2 seasons and hitting more open jumpers, though it would surprise me if his 3-pt. avg. gets to 40% for an entire season.

If Walt continues to improve he could be pretty good but I hope THE GUY 2 years from now isn't on the team yet.
