24 years ago next month - Hersey Hawkins achieved the same milestone...
HOW MANY college players have reached the 3000 point career mark??
then how many have done it in the past 22 years since Simmons did it??
Answer...
Only seven players have hit 3000 points and four of them achieved it before the 3-pt shot was there to help them!
...and only three (Maravich, Simmons, Hawkins) did it without the help of playing gobs of lesser/non-D-I opponents...
