  • Next game- Friday at Hoffman Estates vs. Rutgers

Bradley's next 2 games are in the Chicago Challenge Invitational Tournament at the Sears Centre, 5333 Prairie Stone Pkwy., Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Friday they will play Rutgers at 5:00 pm, the first game of a double-header. The 2nd game features Illinois vs. Miami of Ohio at 7:30 pm. The 2 winners will play at 7:30 Saturday night, the 2 losers will play Saturday at 5:00 pm.

Here is some infomation about Rutgers--
Rutgers lost Tuesday at home to lowly Jackson State, 71-70.
Jackson State was 0-4 prior to the game at Rutgers with blowout losses at Alabama 96-65, at Georgia Tech 100-70, at Illinois 76-55, and at Memphis 111-69.

Rutgers is now 1-2. Their only win was at home against St. Thomas Aquinas, a weak Div II school, as part of this same Chicago Challenge Invitational Tournament. Their other loss was at home against Kansas State. So this game Friday will be their first game away from home.

Rutgers was picked 14th in the 16 team Big East by the Big East media. Other preseason picks had them from 12th to 14th.
    CBSSportsline picked them 12th--

They return 4 starters from last year's team that finished 19-14 and made it to the 2nd round of the NIT. However, the one starter that is gone was their leading scorer Quincy Douby. They also fired their coach, and replaced him with Fred Hill.

Their starting 5 are are 6'9" soph forward JR Inman (leads them with 16.0 ppg), 6'8" senior forward Adrian Hill (8.0 ppg), 6'7" soph guard/forward Jaron Griffin (7.5 ppg), 6'1" soph guard Anthony Farmer (5.0 ppg), and 6'5" senior guard Marquis Webb (5.5 ppg). and their top sub is 6'8" junior forward Ollie Bailey (from Chicago Farragut- 7.0 ppg and a team-leading 5.0 rpg). They play a lot of big bodied kids. They could be vulnerable to the quicker style Bradley plays, as long as Bradley can hit their shots. If not, Rutgers could win a rebounding battle.

The game will not be televised to Peoria, and will not be available on BUBraves.tv.
There is a pregame event planned for Bradley fans for the game Saturday.--

If Bradley and Illinois both lose Friday, the 5 p.m. meeting Saturday will be shown on a tape-delay basis at 7:30 on WMBD. Based on availablility, the tournamentorganizers areprepared to make tickets available for Saturday if Bradley and Illinois wind up facing each other. To
